旧约 - 传道书(Ecclesiastes)第10章

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.
Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool.
If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.
There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Whoso removeth stones shall be hurt therewith; and he that cleaveth wood shall be endangered thereby.
If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.
The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.
A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.
Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!
Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.
传道书第十章   第 10 章 

  传 10:4> 上司发火,有人据理力争,有人委屈求全,这中间的道理是── 

  10:4 这句格言可以应用在雇主和雇员之间的关系上。雇员冷静地对待雇主的暴躁发怒,才能相安无事。只要我们平心静气地工作,雇主就可能止息怒气,回复平静。 

  传 10:5-7> 大到国家,小到单位,到处都有不公平合理之事…… 

  10:5-7 所罗门讲述这些不公平或不合理的情况,藉以说明单凭智慧并不足以伸张正义。他接着定论,我们所有的一切(从智慧到财富),如果离开神,就都将成为虚空。然而,当神使用我们仅有的一点点时,这一点点也会成为我们所有的盼望与需要。 

  传 10:10> 磨刀不误砍柴工,用智慧装备自己则事半功倍──真的? 

  10:10 “工欲善其事,必先利其器”,若没有所需之技巧或工具,要去完成某些工作就如同用钝了的斧头劈柴一般困难。如果你的工具钝了,就须将它磨利,才能把工作做得更好。同样,如果你缺少技能,你就需要接受训练,不断练习来增加技能。磨刃意味着认清问题的所在,寻求所需的技能(或工具),把工作做好。试在你的生命中,找出你的“斧头”不锋利的地方,加以磨炼并勤加操练你的技能,使你更有效地做神的工作。 

  传 10:16-18> 懒惰加挥霍,多大的家业也难长久…… 

  10:16-18 当以色列的领袖不成熟和不负责任时,国家便步向灭亡。列王纪上下提到南北两国败亡都是因为领袖有私心。这几节经文指出了这些领袖的基本问题──自私和懒惰。 

  传 10:19> 所有问题都到饭桌上去解决──世人都在这样做,我怕我也…… 

  10:19 若政府、商业机构、家庭、甚至教会的领袖,都认为金钱可以解决所有问题的话,他们就陷入网罗里了。我们花钱以求解决问题。但是,正如酒只能给人暂时的刺激一样,消费带来的慰藉,也会很快地消失,结果只会令我们更多地消费。圣经承认我们生存需要金钱,却警告我们切勿贪恋钱财(参太 6:24 ;提前 6:10 ;来 13:5 )。金钱是危险的,因它欺骗我们,叫我们以为财富能使我们获得所想的一切;贪爱钱财是邪恶的,因我们会倚靠钱财来解决问题,而不倚靠神。如果有人追求钱财所不能兑现的承诺,将来必会发现他们一无所有,因为他们失去了最重要的灵命。──《灵修版圣经注释》
