The following came up from the towns of Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Kerub, Addon and Immer, but they could not show that their families were descended from Israel:
The descendants of Delaiah, Tobiah and Nekoda 652
And from among the priests: The descendants of Hobaiah, Hakkoz and Barzillai (a man who had married a daughter of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by that name).
These searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.
The governor ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there was a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.
The whole company numbered 42,360,
besides their 7,337 menservants and maidservants; and they also had 200 men and women singers.
They had 736 horses, 245 mules,
435 camels and 6,720 donkeys.
When they arrived at the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, some of the heads of the families gave freewill offerings toward the rebuilding of the house of God on its site.
According to their ability they gave to the treasury for this work 61,000 drachmas of gold, 5,000 minas of silver and 100 priestly garments.
The priests, the Levites, the singers, the gatekeepers and the temple servants settled in their own towns, along with some of the other people, and the rest of the Israelites settled in their towns.

  拉 2:2> 尼希米、未底改,不是后来的人吗?怎么在这里出现? 

  2:2 这里的尼希米,与八十年后重建耶路撒冷城墙的那一位,是两个不同的人。而这里的末底改也不是以斯帖记中的那位。 

  被掳回归 

  拉 2:2> 这些都是举足轻重的人物…… 

  2:2 这里所列的全是以色列人的领袖,与尼希米记 7 章 7 节所载的相同。 

  拉 2:2-35> 不知道这些人是属哪一支派的呢? 

  2:2-35 这里提到的都是犹大和便雅悯支派的人( 1:5 )。 

  拉 2:3-35> 回归子民多如沙,你看连分组也…… 

  2:3-35 这是回归子民中主要的一批,按家族( 2:3-20 )和城市( 2:21-35 )来分组。从 36 节开始,列出了祭司、利未人和圣殿其他仆役的名单。 

  拉 2:59-63> 族谱对以色列人极其重要,其中原因你知道吗? 

  2:59-63 族谱是希伯来人最重要的凭证,若不能证明自己是亚伯拉罕的后嗣,便不被视为真犹太人,必遭受排斥、也无法全面融入犹太人的社会生活。另外,神给某一支派的成员有特别的职分,例如,只有利未(亚伯拉罕的孙子)的后人才可在圣殿里事奉神。 

  拉 2:63> “至圣之物”、“乌陵”、“土明”,这些词是有所指的── 

  2:63 这里的省长很可能是所罗巴伯。乌陵和土明是放在大祭司的胸牌内、形状似平滑石块的物件,大祭司藉此在重大事情上寻求神的旨意(参利 8:8 注释)。 " 至圣之物 " 不是人人皆可吃的,指献于祭坛上只分给祭司的那一分祭肉。 

  拉 2:68-69> 今天人们作十一奉献已很困难,如要像他们将全部甘心献上,这嘛…… 

  2:68-69 圣殿重建时,各人随己力和心意来奉献,更有人慷慨地献出了自己丰厚的资财。这项庞大的工程,需要人人努力合作,尽自己最大的能力奉献。今天,我们很多时候只奉献收入的十分之一,但圣经告诉我们要将一切从心底全然献上(参林后 8:12 ; 9:6 )。愿我们不仅献出自己有余的部分,还要按照神的呼召,甘心乐意献上所有的恩赐。 

  拉 2:69> 有人捐这么多钱,那么重建的圣殿会不会有所罗门时代的辉煌? 

  2:69 达利克和弥拿是金币和银币的单位。以色列人各尽所能,献出一切资财,筹得的金钱足够重建圣殿。他们虽然满腔热诚,但所建起的与所罗门圣殿的富丽堂皇相比,仍逊色很多。当年大卫用来兴建所罗门圣殿的费用,比此时的要多出一千倍(参代上 22:14 )。难怪有人追忆被毁的圣殿,想起过去的辉煌时,禁不住号啕大哭( 3:12 )。──《灵修版圣经注释》
